Concord, the space exploration game developed by Firewalk Studios and published by Sony, is set to shut down on September 6, 2024, just a month after its initial launch. The decision comes in response to low player numbers and mixed reviews.
While the game's developers acknowledged that certain aspects of the experience resonated with players, they also recognized that other elements, including the initial launch, did not meet expectations.
Refunds will be offered to all players who have purchased the game on PlayStation 5 or PC. Those who bought from the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Direct will receive a refund to their original payment method. Customers who purchased from other digital storefronts, such as Steam or Epic Games Store, can find specific refund information on their respective platforms.
Physical copies purchased from retailers outside of PlayStation Direct should be refunded according to the retailer's policies.
Once refunded, players will no longer have access to the game.
The developers of Concord thank their community for their support and promise to keep players updated on future plans.
