FINAL FANTASY in Magic: The Gathering, 2025 and beyond!

FINAL FANTASY fans! MagicCon: Las Vegas wrapped up last week and brought exciting news for fans of both franchises. Wizards of the Coast revealed a brand new Universes Beyond set - Magic: The Gathering - FINAL FANTASY! This collaboration brings the iconic characters and lore of FINAL FANTASY to Magic in a June 2025 release.

FINAL FANTASY Makes its Magic Debut

This set will span the entire FINAL FANTASY series, featuring characters from every mainline game, from Cloud Strife to Noctis Lucis Caelum. Players can expect stunning artwork, featuring iconic FINAL FANTASY pieces alongside brand-new creations made specifically for Magic. The set will also be playable digitally on Magic: The Gathering Arena.

Beyond FINAL FANTASY: A Year of Magic Awaits

The news didn't stop there! MagicCon attendees were treated to a glimpse of the exciting releases planned for 2025.

Here's a quick rundown:

• Innistrad Remastered (January 24th):  This curated set brings back everything fans love about the gothic horror setting.

• Aetherdrift (February 14th):  Join a high-octane death race across three planes as you compete for the coveted Aetherspark trophy!

• Tarkir: Dragonstorm (April 11th):  Return to Tarkir for a fiery adventure filled with dragons and the return of Sarkhan and Ugin.

• Edge of Eternities (August 1st):  Explore the science fantasy world of The Edge and journey through the Sothera galaxy.

• Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man (2025):  Swing into action with the first set in a multi-year collaboration with Marvel!
