The Master Chief is back, and this time, he’s facing off against the most ruthless foes in the galaxy. The highly anticipated December Mid-Season Update for Halo Infinite launched today!
Let’s dive into what’s coming:
1. Firefight: King of the Hill
Firefight enthusiasts, rejoice! The beloved multiplayer PvE mode is making a triumphant return. In Firefight: King of the Hill, you and three other players will battle waves of Banished enemies while strategically capturing hills. The playlist includes nine maps, including the iconic House of Reckoning from Halo Infinite’s campaign and three community-made maps. Get ready for intense firefights and epic hill captures!
2. Repair Field Equipment
Need to patch up while out in the field? Introducing the Repair Field! Similar to the Regenerator from Halo 3, this neutral Equipment item heals both allies and enemies within its radius. It’s also handy for repairing vehicles and can be attached to most environmental surfaces. Plus, in select modes like Firefight: King of the Hill, it can even revive downed Spartans. Support players, this one’s for you!
3. Ranked Improvements
Ranked play is getting some much-needed enhancements:
a. Ranked Extraction
Previously, you could hear when the enemy team was converting an Extraction point from anywhere on the map. This allowed players to peek out strategically. But with the upcoming audio change, the Extraction device itself will emit the audio, requiring you to be in close vicinity to hear it. Teams will need to pay closer attention to the Extraction process.
b. CSR Updates
Your Competitive Skill Rank (CSR) experience is also getting tweaks. Stay tuned for more details!
4. Forge Updates and Custom Game Browser Improvements
For the creative minds out there, Forge is receiving updates, and the Custom Game Browser is getting better. Whether you’re building maps or exploring custom game modes, these improvements will enhance your Halo Infinite experience.
Get ready, Spartans! The December Mid-Season Update is live, and it’s packed with exciting content. Whether you’re capturing hills, repairing fields, or diving into custom games, Halo Infinite continues to evolve and be nothing but a good time.
See you on the battlefield! 🚀
